2.0 is the 6spd i think. maybe insurance go up ?

The 2L turbo model is rare, mostly those for sale are 1.4L S/T charged....with the 'famous' 7 sp DSG.

If selling cheaply for a good condition car, i won't mind taking the risk. But whomever that is buying the 7spd DSG VWs must be prepared mentally to replace the gearbox out of their own pockets after warranty.

most of the 7 spd DSG owners have their warranty extended to 5 yrs.

Apparently, it is not about the extended 5yrs warranty. Volks can give them 100 yrs warranty for that matters, but if the car is gona stay in the workshop 70% of the time.......whats the point of the warranty?

The reliability as mentioned earlier in many threads before and the VASGs (correct spelling?) is horrible and yet there are youngster/young executives going gaga over Volks model. Maybe except the Tiguan which runs on 6 spd and not DSG

so sad, such a good looking car but plagued with gearbox problems.

how to buy with a ease of mind?

Went VW showroom on Sat to see see look look, still got alot of people..even SE said no more such problems because they changed supplier for their gearbox?

True or false?

I rather they change their import plan - give us the real manual tranny.

True or false, you can be sure that SEs are repeating what they are told. You think they really ask for proof from VW that supplier has changed? Or that change supplier means no more problem?
