No reason is a good enough reason to harm a child. Absolutely no reason..

 

sry no offense intended.. when it comes to crime against a child I get very angry..

Number of attempted suicides was way up last year (I think jumped from 700 to 1000?)

 

So so sad.

 

No matter what you have to feel sympathy for a mother that felt this was the best thing to do, and even more sympathy for the family that has to live with the fallout.

RIP poor child. Tons of reasons for yr death but none ever justified....in the case of innocent child.

 

Whatever e cause, be it depression or post natal blues or stress.....always wish the adults keep the child out of their problem(s).

quite sad. no disrespect, but normally when a woman commits suicide, doesnt she jump with the baby (as opposed to throwing the baby first?)

Nvr underestimate depression. Got a friend nearly killed himself cos of it. Thankfully he got out and now happily married. Its not within ones control if this happens. I guess the hubby shd be more cautious and get ppl to stay home with the wife cos shes depressed.

It really takes a lot of courage to "jump" out from the building but it takes even greater courage to hang on... But post-natal depression is very dangerous if left undetected, my wife had gone through 2 pregnancies. The pressure on the wife is very heavy, she will be worried about a lot of things: -

 

1. No idea how to take care of new born because no experience

2. No idea or stressed why unable to breast-feed

3. No idea why baby is crying continuously even after feeding, change nappy etc

4. Baby having colic can be very tiresome, sometime hard to comfort the baby

 

Both my babies were having colic, they were crying non-stop... can be very frustrated simply because you can't know why they cried...

 

After birth, husbands play a very important part. It would be ideal if they can be given parental leave as well.
