Hi,

Would like to seek advice.

recently choose but not yet purchase a used car 2010 (Kia) from 88 motor trading, was asked to put $1000 deposit. I requested used car dealer to send to Kia service centre to get warranty check as when asked the saleman if warranty is vaild, answer is dun know. Found out from Kai servcice centre that the milleage meter has been tampered.

Ask for refund of deposit, so diffcult, was asked to view another same model, different color Kia. Went down, take a look at car, seems ok. Saleman said if that's the case will transfer the $1000 deposit to the 2nd car. Within 2 days, called saleman, informed him dun want 2nd car, was told by him that the deposit $1000 will be forefit.

So everyone out there, dun even even go to 88 motor trading.

Planning on getting a bigger car but dont want to spend too much on monthly repayment

Thinking of trading my 2008 Latio sedan preimun for Ssangyong Actyon 2.3A CNG

http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.php?ID=303245

Do you think is worth it ???

any comments on Ssangyong Actyon 2.3A CNG

Siam CNG, its dying, even though its slightly cheaper than petrol, it dont make any economical sense if you dont live near and CNG station.

FYI, prices of CNG is not fixed, Toh Tuck is cheaper than Mandai.

the colour is a major turn off...

as what some bros have said here, CNG tank will "eat" up your boot space...

if consumption is a factor of concern, dun bother go for SUV/CUV.. they will never be better than sedans... maybe you can upsize into a larger sedan instead

Bro Adrianli, if your sales agreement with 88 has the mileage of the car written on it you can get a lawyer to write to them to get your deposit back as it is a case of misrepresentation. Know any lawyer friend who will do this for you?

i would not recommend,

1) Actyon is too heavy and with CNG, its even worst, super underpowered

2) Actyon is just too fugly

3) CNG is not without problems, the refilling stations and convenience has to be considered

4) Why not consider Grand vitara or forester?

there have also been cases of the engine valves being damaged due to too much CNG used. So in the end the costs might be higher using CNG.

If you do not care about looks (I guess so as you already bought Latio [:p] ), do not bother to read the following:

Actyon appeared top in world's worst looking cars in row!

TS, if you enjoying car jerking when moving off from station, engine die halfway on highway and changing absorber, changing of special rated spark plug..............etc, go get it.... [:p]

Thanks god, I get rid of mine... -_-

Anyway, if the engine is tuned properly by someone who know the engine that run on CNG, the problem will be minimize, we do not hear complain those MB that run on CNG but mostly those after market CNG-fitted car.

yup, also now CNG in Msia is restricted for sale to Msia car only.. last time many SG cars go JB to pump, cos is cheaper and no 3/4 tank rule for CNG tank.
