Taiwan: Holiday in Taipei & Tainan

Recommended Posts

Going to Taiwan next week for free & easy. Identified 2 cities to go, Taipei and Tainan. Other cities visit next year.

Apart from the norm (night markets, temples, sceneries, 101 & shopping) anything exciting in Taipei or Tainan not mention in tour companies itineraries.

Thanks. [wave]

I only know Taipei....

Danshui.... for the river side walk, eat ah keh (tauhu stuffed with tang hoon). If you have time, you can take a ferry to the other side of the river, Bali.

Bei Tou for hotspring, though outskirt of taipei is better.

Yang Ming Shan park. Can take public bus there until the flower clock and walk from there.

Do you also want to know night life? This one I expert.... [nod]

I always stay at a small motel near to ShuangLian TRT station and McKay Hospital. It's call Wish Hotel. Cheap, clean and quiet. Very convenient as it's near to subway, near to the bus stop which can go to airport and also near linsen beilu.... heehee...

OK noted, next year, plan early so can see the flowers.. -_-

This year you can see the "deflowered" form.... [laugh]

If you like handicroft, you can spend a day at yilan's National Center for Traditional Arts

http://eng.taiwan.net.tw/m1.aspx?sNo=0002106&id=4914

They have woodcraft, papercraft, homemade soap, homemade malts, dolls, umbrella.... really educational for the kids... Also have a river nearby which I think they have their dragonboat race there....
