Xiaoyuer86 1st Gear September 30, 2014 Share September 30, 2014 Public transport, only Taipei has extensive coverage. Taichung and Jiufen has a bus only system, Cingjing, due to it's small size, has zero public transport. Best is you self-drive up or book a car with driver. There is public transport from taichung to cingjing
Tohto Hypersonic October 1, 2014 Share October 1, 2014 There is public transport from taichung to cingjing Yes, but you can't reach the door step of the minsu like driving a rental car. With the amount spend for high speed train from Taipei to Taichung, and bus price to cingjing. Rental a car from Taipei is only slightly expensive and you will have a full flexibity to travel around in Cingjing.
Shull Turbocharged October 8, 2014 Share October 8, 2014 There is public transport from taichung to cingjing Not only what bro Tohto has pointed out, Public transport stops at Cingjing once it turns dark, so it's good to have a car if you want to go out for dinner or what.

I remember at Cingjing, the minsu we stayed at, had this luxurious VW MPV that they used to fetch guests around to and from dinner nearby. Just tell them beforehand where you wanna go. They will liaise with the restaurant to call back when you're done, and will go fetch you back. I still dunno what Mpv that was, but it's a big van, not sharan. Tohto Hypersonic October 8, 2014 Share October 8, 2014 (edited) Probably caravelle I also sit before in taipei and shanghai I think is the VW van/MPV (Transporter). Very popular in Taiwan hotel. Edited October 8, 2014 by Tohto
Atrecord Supersonic October 8, 2014 Share October 8, 2014 Not sure nvr see in sg road But last time i ever saw volkswagen AD brought in caravelle but at the price of alphard and maybe higher If Sharan is already on par with Alphard, then this Caravelle should be even higher i think. It looks like: Touran-->Sharan-->Caravelle Wish-->Estima-->Alphard I think is the VW van/MPV (Transporter). Very popular in Taiwan hotel. No, it is not the popular Transporter, which we saw a lot on the road, and which i think is very similar to the Starex we hired for the trip. The one we sat (I think it's the Caravelle as pointed out) in was a more luxurious mpv definitely.
