Was thinking of using terazzo but seems rare theses day. Some how homogeneous seems to be the default now.

Terazzo damn old school leh... Then again depends on your deco. Marble is classy & cool to touch.

Heard marble is porous plus over time will change colour, esp light colors.

For problem free get granite. Minimum maintenance and look new for years! [sunny]

Only thing to note is to get a GOOD installer if not the problems will be forever! [bigcry]

terrazo looks bit dated.

More expensive: granite/marble.

Less expensive: homogenous lor

Parquet usually for bedrooms right.

Laminated/HERF if u prefer the look of parquet but cheaper.

Marble is very easy to get stain, especially coffee, need to be polished every few years if its surface fade off.

Granite not much selection.

Terazzo damn ald school.

Ceramic not durable, not suitable for floor, easily to chip & crack.

Homogeneous / porcelain tile, durable, good looking, easy to maintain and much much more selection.

Laminated floor, if u prefer natural look. easy to replace.

Parquet is natural look but more expensive than laminated

actually i like Parquet or laminated.

Homogenous tiles - the problem with it is the lines between the tiles. it will turn dark or black due to dirt and stain. so if your tiles are very light coloured, those black lines are spoiling the look of your home. and it is not ez to clean it. Ppl say use baking soda or whatever. Yeah, but if u have to scrub every single line, yr back will break......

My bedroom is laminated. There was some invisible leek or dampness from the air con pipe and the laminate started wrinkling and peeling off.

Not feasible to use peeling off of the laminate to determine when to service the aircon. [laugh]

yes, laminate has its own set of problems against wet and dampness.
