Not too worry after the warranty. There are many pro-VAG and other workshops around, e.g HAT, VAG, RS Tuning, Eurohaus, Mirage Garage, Autospritze, Juzz4Cars, etc.

my family jus bought a new A4 in sep 13, yet to service, the eco system is a bit cock up to me cus when u stop at traffic light, it will shut off e engine, and start it again when u step on accelerator. other than that, everything is fantastic. quite spacious too

It is not cock up. It was designed like this.

If you don't like it, switch it off.

the auto start stop system can be switched off per trip. I think u might even be able to switch it off permanently if u follow some of the overseas audi forums..

can anyone from MCF to answer why Audi A4/A6 equipped Multitronic (CVT) but A3 equipped S-tronic (DCT)?

in general impression, CVT use for lower torque and slow response drivetrain, DCT for higher torque and faster response drivetrain, if i'm wrong, please correct me, :D

Audi normally segregate their drivetrain system combination as:

Quattro + S-tronic +TC, A5, A7,

FWD + NA + Multitronic , A4, A6,

A3 is a particular case, FWD + TC + S-tronic
