Hi guys,

My ride is reaching 35k soon and I noted the wearing out situation on the tyres.

I have read around and decided to go for Bridgestone GR90.

Any workshops you would recommend and why?

On another note, just wanna ask, if you happen to have a punctured tyre on the roads, what would you usually do if your vehicle doesn't have a spare tyre? I heard things like patching and even tolling the car to a workshop. Do we get things like to select which workshop to go to etc? Please enlighten me on this as I lack the experience.

Thanks

I used GR80 and GR90 on my jazz. I found them good tyres but realised there are other tyres equally good and much cheaper. Currently using Goodyear efficientgrip about $12x per pc 195/50/15 from arrow tyres.

Hi all (Sorry for the highjack)

I am new to this forum and i will soon be required to change my tyres.

My Altis comes with stock BridgeStone 195/65/R15 tyres and noise seem very prominent after a year of drive.

I am contemplate to get GR90 as my next unit.

I understand getting from an authorized distributor certainly ease some concerns per as general retails out there.

What should l look out for a new pair of tyres as this model is not really cheap?

The manufacturer date, country of made, physical contour lines on tyres, etc.

Are there anything i have missed out?

Autobacs is selling this set of 4 at $720 ($180 each). Is this alright? What about Autobacs service, any issue?

Thank you very much.

autobag = carrot [knife]

I will said $180 for that kind of establishment is FAIR (not cheap)

I think can get better deal some where with better workmanship and service

Do take note I heard this gr90 is not very lasting last only around 40k km if you look after it well

otherwise may be less than 30k botak

please do factor on more issue, do not just focus on price or country of production only

you will probably end up getting something not your original need

err. if u pump your tyres every 1-2mths like me. I'm on 48-49k km. probably will drive to 55k before changing.

i don't believe it wears out that fast as what some people say.

Thanks for the input guys.

GR90 is the one.

I am still used to re-inflate my tyres in every trip petrol kiosk.

Keep a good habit to ensure my tyres are not deflated.

Thanks. [;)]
