Mcfguy 1st Gear January 18, 2013 Share January 18, 2013 If my car COE registration date is 12th Jan 2005 and a check on LTA website shows that the COE expiry is 11th Jan 2015, does it mean I will be able to drive it till 11th Jan 2015? At least that what my friend says. I thought I should be able to drive it till 11th Jan 2016 so that it will be counted as 10 years on the road? ↡ Advertisement

Mcfguy 1st Gear January 19, 2013 Author Share January 19, 2013 (edited) 1 Jan 05=1 06=2 07=3 08=4 09=5 10=6 11=7 12=8 13=9 31 Dec 14=10 for your example if 1st jan 05 the COE registration date? And 31st Dec 14 is the COE expiry, when is the last day you can drive the car? Or is it the COE expiry date is the last day for sure. Would not that be driving the car for only 9 years? Here's an easy way counting when COE expires (providing reg not Jan 1st, else year+9). Year of Reg + 10 Date of Reg - 1 So yours would be 2005(+10)=2015 12 Jan (-1)= 11 Jan
