try using dental floss to cut thru the doubleside tape

Just use abit of force to pull it out...done that n mine looks ok...solar film no damage...

face somewhat similar situation, remove a damm strong 3M double sided.

 

use blade to cut... follow by a oil based solution to soften that 3M tape (bought from homefix).
