In terms of absolute vote count, the record holder is still Harbans Singh with 131

In terms of vote %, I think Dedicated Loser is the reigning champ.

I hope Dedicated Loser will try again in 2016 to clinch the record for both absolute vote and vote%

which election is that? lol

Anson BE in the 80s. A 3 corner between PAP, JBJ and Harbans.

JBJ made history by winning

And my whole estate of Anson were cheering loudly when the result were annouced....... [laugh][bounce2]

That doctor think that using his bare hands to pick up a few leaves will clear up the flooding.

LHL and TCH think that giving support to that doctor will help win this by-election.

They are wrong.

Sylvia blacking a lot of questions for LLL.

I think LLL looks more suprised than happy.

Good luck to LLL. I hope she grows into the job

PAP keep saying this is a BE and more on local issues.

I think it is more than that.

Local issues AND National issues are reasons why WP won.

Another observation was PM Lee was brought in

very late in the contest to try to swing votes.

Perhaps the above can be explained by

the PAP's grassroots and ground intelligence warning of

a potentially very very tight contest

ONLY VERY LATE in the elections campaign.

Worse till, the result turned out to be a huge PAP loss and not a predicted tight contest.

IF PAP had thought and calculated Punggol was likely a loss like Hougang,

they wouldn't have risk bringing in PM Lee to try to swing votes

because a Punggol East loss would reflect badly on PM Lee and the sitting Government.

Recall, Teo Chee Hean was brought in as the attack dog (because PAP expected a loss in Hougang)

while PM Lee was brought in as the "unifying national figure" (because PAP only thought it was close).

IN other words, PM Lee would not have been brought in if PAP knew it was going to be a huge loss:

PAP misread the ground.

I think the PAP's grassroots and ground feedback

haven't learnt their bitter lessons from GE 2011.

[cool]

People not realise that voting for opposition does not mean their flat resale price will be affected. or is that just a myth by pap?
