Checking for colleague who owns a 05' Matrix 1.6M on how much is the timing belt change package and recommended workshop in Sg? (he dun drive to JB type) He panic and asked if can help after i told him his mileage 100k+ and gotta change liao.

Tell him bite bullet, go Komoco settle.

 

If he doesn't know cars, better don't recommend him any outside workshop. He will hound you if anything happens to his car there.

I believe is between $350 to $400+ if the workshop supply the part for the job...it should also include water pump change as package..

The timing belt+fan belt+water pump cost less than $200 at Song Yi autoparts. Labour typically around $60-$100.

Hyundai car parts are cheap. Even shock absorber is less than $100 per piece. Can go to Synergy Auto located at ubi
