Hi all,

Would like to highlight and update on comparing discount between Cowtax and SP* below:

For SP*, it is a no brainer that the best combi is the SPCU and Everyday card at 15% + 6%.    Let's say Ron95 @ 1.99/L, take 50L, total payable after discount = 50 x (1.99x0.85x0.94) = $79.50

For Cowtax, the OCBC365 card is now giving 18+5% for all Ron.   Take the same example above and with Ron95@ 2.02/L, total payable after discount = 50 x (2.02x0.82x0.95) = $78.68, with Plus! points and Capitastar points (for some stations only)

 

Not promoting for C**, as I usually rotate between SP* and C* depending on petrol price.   

For awareness only.   Let me know if any calculation error above.

Why so concern about caltex raising the price? Nothing to do with SPC right?

You will save a little bit yes but sometimes it’s about sending a message. U increase price we don’t pump your petrol. Simple as that.

i only had to pump 3 times since the petrol companies started playing yoyo with prices. All 3 times was SPC.

Normally I pump sinopec coz nearest my house

I would pump sinopec also... If they had one near my place. But luckily they do have two SPCs near my place.
