Thanks bro.. I plan to do diy also but need guidance on removing the seats fastest easier way.. hehe

Im looking at across causeway..

There is no easiest way as you need to literally remove all the Seats inorder to do this.

If you're doing yourself, to make it easier, you should have the right tools to do it...

First time, I had a hard time removing the front seats itself with the normal tools....

Then when equipped with good set of Socket wrenches, the dismantling was much easier.

(I tried to capture some photos of dismantling the seats which I can share with you if you are interested)

Anyway pls don't try to do alone, pls get atleast one more person to help you (I was half dead and fell MC the following day when I didalone [rolleyes] )

Try to do it part by part inorder to appreciate the Sound Proofing.

Best to start with are the Doors and the A-B Pillars.... maybe together with Wheel Arc.

Then follow with the Floor and then the Top.....

As far as I understood, to do the Firewall, the Dashboard need to be removed.....

Car beauty at Ubi sells one sheet of sound proof from $30-100... depends on brand and quality. The $30 is from Taiwan or Thailand, can't remember.

There is a shop in JB that does sound proof really cheap, brandless sound proof material tho...

4 doors about RM200-300

Aiyoo.... :D

I can share the photos as it should be detail enough....

It's only the 2nd row seats you have to take care as it is bit tricky... the rest of all are very straight forward.

If you are in Woodlands area, I can drop inbetween for a short while... but it depends on the timing as usually I'll be tied up during the weekend due to my Church activities.

my car's FC has been bad lately. dropped to abt 8-9km/l. not sure y. no change in driving style n pattern. last servicing done less than 6 mths ago. mileage coming to only 33000 km.

my only guess (n hope) is that the engine oil not holding well. cos i used the schnell (turtle) oil on the last change. going to change to a slightly better oil with w30. see if will improve. at my mileage, dont think have to do anything else.

Mine is equally bad. Like u, am going to use w30 for next oil change. However wonder if w30 would be too thin in terms of engine protection

Bro for Exora better use either 5W-30/10W-30 or 5W-40 as recommend by a Proton specialist.Non CFE Exora will suffer bad mileage using thick eo unless you hot slightly mod ur ride.I know a guy stays at Jurong using CPS Exora with mod.He change to piggyback R3 ecu,Extractor,K&N drop in filter and Skunk light pulley plus 17 inch rims.Fuel consumption got slight improve and pick up is superb for an auto 1.6 1.46ton mpv.

Heard only CPS can use thin grade oil suchs as 5w30,10w30 or 5w40 while normal Campro and iafm use 10w-50,15w-50 or 15w40 cause normal Campro easy get hot.

went to hawk tayar for oil change, wheel balancing, rotate n alignment. n also found out the power steering wheel fluid has turned black. changed that as well. total charge is RM244, which i think is very reasonable. doing alignment alone in spore already $60. using 5w30 now...will see if FC will improve.
