Has anyone installed KYB Gas Monotube into Nissan Sylphy G11 version before? I've drove my 4yrs old Sylphy for about 90K km & it began to feel bouncing while on stationary & knocks sound heard occasionally going through road humps. I want to know how good is it compared to stocks from ppl who had used it. Please feedback to me! thank you!!!

I always advised my frds to get better shock absorber if its time to change rather than getting stock or some so call ok brand............ really make the ride a lot of difference n could be for a little more only (few hundreds)......... [thumbsup]

How long does it take to complete a job for changing 4 absorbers?

Which workshop would you recommend for an old J32 Teana?

How much would the workshop charge if I just send the car to jack up and check the condition of the absorbers?

What is the worst damage a failing shock absorber could do to the car?

Thanks.

I changed the Front absorbers, condition improved alittle.

2 weeks later, l changed the rear too.

Total $850 for Teana, original. Now quite ok.

I asked the mechanic whether he did alignment for me.

He said he test drove, car is going straight.  No need to do.

I was like, huh???

Bro, $850 is for all front/rear for KYB Excel-G? I think yours never change mounting, bearing & dustcover right?

Please share your ws details so I can call in and ask for my Camry'08. Thanks

just go to each corner to press down hard and release, if rebound back up once and stops, is ok, if rebound twice (back up and down and up) or more then not ok.

also see got any leaks from the shocks.

failing shocks fail to dampen compression and rebound, so ride bouncy, handling worse.

I drove like that for a bit. Car seems straight but when I went to align, could see the toe and camber was out. After aligning to specs the car felt even more stable.
