Titanium backup however you need to root before installing.

TBP does not perform a full backup or a nandroid backup. Clockworkmod does that.

 

Ts only ask for software backup leh, IMO CWM is overkill for his requirement.

any "idiot's guide" software for rooting of Android 4.1.2? Any recommended rooting software?

 

There are a few good apps support rooted phone, I'm tempted to root my phone. What are the risk?

no. if you are looking for itune/apple style of back up. not that i know of.

What exactly do you want to back up? Have you turned on Google account sync?

- phone/book backed up/automatically restored by google

- apps/app data backed up/automatically restored by google

 

if you turn on Google+ upload

-photos/videos uploaded and backed up to Google+

 

MP3 collection? Load up to Google Play music player and it's on the cloud, playable from all devices (with offline option to sync to device) and PCs

 

Google works by syncing to the cloud. tethering to a PC with iTunes and the Kies imitation of itunes is so last century [cool]

Yes, I'm using Google a/c to sync but the backup is like all over the place, I'm looking for something like Itune type of backup, that is everything is fully backup by one software, and use one software to restore.
