Viceroymenthol 6th Gear July 7, 2013 Share July 7, 2013 hmm. tbh. the joel robuchon was a disappointment. the bread was good. but food was generally disappointing. I have tried Robuchon degustation menu in Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore. Macau was the best! Singapore one was unmemorable.. Literally..

Rseries Neutral Newbie July 7, 2013 Share July 7, 2013 My favorite char kway teow remains the one cooked by my school canteen uncle at St francis thomas drive . A big generous plate with an egg for 70cts. Unfortunately, gone since 1987....;( dear Saint, your post really brought back good old memories.....Uncle cooks old traditional dry char Kay teow at corner of canteen. I always had mine without egg to save a few cents from my meagre allowance to buy 10cts colored syrup water to complete my recess meal...

Leslielai 1st Gear July 8, 2013 Share July 8, 2013 I'm very cynical that he can win. In fact I don't believe it. It's all done in good fun. Singtel did a very bad job in the coverage of the whole event.

Just not quite competent at hosting.. In fact I was kinda proud to observe the hold-no-bars kinda response from everyone interviewed. Who says our hawker heritage is dying! We know our food, we demand it.. Only problem is not enough successors are taking over from the retiring ones. And the video quality is like my previous 56k modem streaming quality with jerky pictures. the whole event was not properly organise and the streaming was even worst couple with the host that doesn't do justice to Gordon and the 3 hawkers. lucky the Gordon Ramsay Great escape after that on channel 5 make me happy. ↡ Advertisement
