From what I understand, Singapore agent brought in 120hp 1.6 for 1st gen and 105hp eco engine for the 2nd gen/face lifted. The only one I see in SGcarmart right now is the face lifted one which should mean that the car is 105HP.

Could someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks!

A few weeks ago, I bought a K&N cleaning kit to clean my BMC filter. It was off the car because the lowend power loss was horrible, so thought of cleaning it myself. Wow, couldn't believe the amount of black oily muck that came out when I rinsed it. I let it dry and then re-oiled it with the stuff that came with the kit. Read some horror stories about over oiling and killing the MAF so I dabbed the filter with toilet paper after cleaning. Today I went to AS to refit the BMC and it feels much better. While there, also swapped out the brake fluid as the pedal was feeling squishy for quite a while. The pedal was especially stiff during hot days when stuck in a traffic jam, in fact both the clutch and brake pedals were hard to modulate. Suspect that moisture and air had gotten to the fluid, so hope the flush and refill will fix the issue.

Replaced a cracked vacuum hose and an ignition coil.

She's back up and running fine again :D

Was shopping for some nice necessary replacement parts due to wear and tear.

Of course when its time to replace, I tend to look for better aftermarket ones as its stronger and better made.

Some call it poison, I call it planning for longevity :D

Mine is old school car. Need to order from Europe. Or wait long long if I buy in Singapore.

Lucky there are scrapped cars which I can still use parts from.
