How did u manage to get a 2 years S60 at 7,8K depr/year

Thats a great price

I personally won’t pay more than 8k dep for an EOL used wowo. That’s just me though.

As a ballpark, my 5yo S60 dep 7.6k, 2yo S60 7.8k, 9.5yo S80 7.7k and the current 9yo V70 under 7k.

First two got them from direct owners. After that I was desperate to find a replacement so paid a bit more for a single ownership, well maintained low mileage unit from a resale dealer who just gotten the car from AD...everything was touched up perfectly by the AD.

Current one also from a dealer not too familiar with wowo thought it’s going bad with the check light... I gained in the end.

There was a XC90 that went for under 8k a while back and I missed it by half a day. Contacted the dealer in the morning, arranged to view in the early evening but was snatched by noon.

Someone here mentioned it before...no 5k price cut no talk. So, be bold to slash price but do so politely. Sales reps also need some level of courtesy and respect since sticker price not set by them but their managers or bosses.

It’s the old P2 S60. Owner was cutting down to one car...but years later I found out there’s a poor respray workmanship done on the C pillar. Probably kena accident before...but that’s ok with me. “Cat brand” can’t be choosy.

I also heard that can give discount by 5k. They listed 79,800 and I asked for 76k but got rejected. Settled for 78k

I managed to chance upon the dealer's website and the listing since 2 months ago and the price advertised then was 91.8k with depre of 12.4k per year. They suffered a loss which was what the dealer told me

Hi everyone, is it advisable to change from a B7 Passat to a S80 T5 Drive-E? What are the common problems with the S80 and are they costly to fix?

Passat is 2014 and S80 is 2016.

Asking for a friend, thanks for the responses!

Drive E is 8 speed and I’ve yet to hear of any issue with that GB but it’s relatively new compared to the Ford PowerShift.

S80 is dated but rock solid with little known issue apart from the ac compressor.

Thanks for the input!! My friend is not sure if he should jump to Volvo as he's scared that the running cost would increase alot.

Not exp to service Volvo. I just did a change to EO with filter, air filter, tranny oil, and labour for sealing of external air vent for $200.

Hi! I’m getting my first car and am considering a S60 T4 with about 2y4m left. Can anyone share what I shld be looking out for when viewing / test driving the car? And possible servicing/changes I may have to make if I buy it? Car has 135K mileage done.

Much thanks!

Check if any sound going over bad roads/speed strips. At that mileage there could be some oil leaks but can live with it. I would change the cabin filter, plus the engine air filter if they have not been changed. Coils tend to kaput around that mileage, but simple to replace.

Good luck!

Also check all doors are working fine with the keyless lock/unlock plus manually inside the car. Have read about Notorious cable to the door lever snapped inside the panel.

PowerShift gearbox issue is common across all engine variants that mapped to this Ford sourced GB.

I’d only go for it if dep is under 7k and low mileage...but that’s just me.

Volvo very simple one... Pretty much few things would go wrong. (can't comment on the Ford gearbox - no experience with it).
