have u tried driving the 2010 2.5T before?

Wondering if quality is any better than your 2007. Seems to have more power and torque on paper.

S80 T5 and T4 are better in terms of FC and daily drivability. Was pleasantly surprised by the peppy 1.6 T4 which I think is most suited for city and highway driving.

(edited)

Once out of showroom, only thorough inspection by AA, Vicom or trained mech with ECU reader can advise you of the car true condition. The rest of what you read in car reviews are merely statistics.

How about Motor Edgevantage in Sin Ming? Any bros used them before?

Had visited them for a few times on servicing and some repairs. Workmanship and price wise very reasonable... They are from wearnes and product knowledge is good. U can try them. Bros from our group have been patronizing them

Is it worthwhile to buy a 4 year old S80 D2? Any major concerns with this model?

Should be underpowered.

Otherwise this would be a good car. Interior classy. Spacious.

This is like alkost coming to end of life model for s80. So all the earlier problems with s80 prob solved with this.

To me the power shift gb is a heng sway thing

Up to u to think of worth it to take a gamble

$10-11k depre for s80 is attractive to me

Yup I bought it at 78k for a almost 4 Yr old car registered Jan 2015. Taking delivery on Wed. :)

Colleague in Taiwan had powershift problems on his Ford Focus. Whole gearbox replaced.

So likely S80 with heavy body will put some stress on the gearbox.

Anyway if a s60 D2 is slow a s80 will be crawling. But does save fuel.

4 year old S80 D2 75-85K, thats very good price

S60D2 will have better FC but lesser rear room

Used volvos attract only select buyers and usually depr around 10k/year

So good for buyers but not so good for owners

As long as it is not a lemon, should be generally good value

I personally won’t pay more than 8k dep for an EOL used wowo. That’s just me though.

As a ballpark, my 5yo S60 dep 7.6k, 2yo S60 7.8k, 9.5yo S80 7.7k and the current 9yo V70 under 7k.

First two got them from direct owners. After that I was desperate to find a replacement so paid a bit more for a single ownership, well maintained low mileage unit from a resale dealer who just gotten the car from AD...everything was touched up perfectly by the AD.

Current one also from a dealer not too familiar with wowo thought it’s going bad with the check light... I gained in the end.

There was a XC90 that went for under 8k a while back and I missed it by half a day. Contacted the dealer in the morning, arranged to view in the early evening but was snatched by noon.

Someone here mentioned it before...no 5k price cut no talk. So, be bold to slash price but do so politely. Sales reps also need some level of courtesy and respect since sticker price not set by them but their managers or bosses.
