Check if any sound going over bad roads/speed strips. At that mileage there could be some oil leaks but can live with it. I would change the cabin filter, plus the engine air filter if they have not been changed. Coils tend to kaput around that mileage, but simple to replace.

Good luck!

Thanks for the helpful advice.

Placed deposit for this instead https://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.php?ID=816976&DL=3097

Will send it for inspection at Gary's engineering tomorrow before deciding whether to buy.

Condition looks great! 40k is low mileage, probably nothing to change till 10 year old. Enjoy your new ride!

Thanks! Hope everything works out well.

By the way, anyone here can share where to buy V40 D2 (2014) center console cup holder replacement?

Nowadays buy resale too low mileage cannot be trust.

I think this is a Ford engine. Heard is not reliable as Volvo engine. (Heard only)

Yes, quite true.

The good diesel engine should be D4.

Would be good any bros here could recommend you a Volvo workshop to do a tourough check before you buy.

I am thinking of changing my Volvo T4 to another car, she is left with 2.5 years on her. I polestar it and serviced by agent, I change the alternator already. I love my ride but was considering another car. So far I have changed most parts they are wear and tear. My car interior is great just exterior has dings. Not too sure should I trade in or sell on my own

1. If you are buying new premium brand, trade in will be a good option.

2. If you are buying used or a less premium brand , you will not get good trade in because their margin is low. This is when you will have to try to sell it, but dealer won't offer you good price, one way is to sell it yourself, alternatively, go look for a good consigment shop to help you up.

Assuming your car is in good condition and requires min repair over the next 2.5 years, would it be more worth while for you to drive on till scrap? Let say if you let go now you will lose about $30k for the next 2.5years, instead, you just drive on and change to the car you intend to buy, would the same car be more expensive by $30k 2.5year later? If not, then maybe worthwhile to drive on. This is thinking using one's head, but if your heart is telling you strongly something else, then follow your heart. Edited by Ct3833

Volvo quality is quite hit and miss. If yours is relatively lemon free, save for normal wear and tear, do consider driving it till the end. Its a great car. S60 T5 owner here.

Of course if heart rules, then nothing matters.

I will sell it on my own or on quotz. Fyi I sold my last car myself for 7k more than trade in value.

Hi All,

I am looking at buying a S80 or S60 (2015/2016 model). Would like to find out if it is possinle to change/upgrade its audio system, to one of those current touch-screen systems with apple carplay or Andriod system? Can the audio be connected with the car existing controls at the steering wheels?

By the way, its rear aircon duct is at the side pillar. It is strong enough for the rear passengers?

Thanks.

Also check all doors are working fine with the keyless lock/unlock plus manually inside the car. Have read about Notorious cable to the door lever snapped inside the panel.

PowerShift gearbox issue is common across all engine variants that mapped to this Ford sourced GB.

I’d only go for it if dep is under 7k and low mileage...but that’s just me.

what is this Notorious cable story ? whats the symptom like ?
