I will drive my new car the first day like I would drive my old car any day, yes, include high rev and no problem to go nshw and hit above 160km/h like I did with my previous car (odo only read 700+km)... And my current car at 9th year, engine is still as quite as first day and not drinking EO... Odo already hit 223k+... I already don't believe in run-in 10+yrs ago and I don't see the reason now with technology advancement.... Anyway, not everyone can accept my school of thought thou... Lovethecars Clutched March 12, 2016 Share March 12, 2016 I was earlier looking at honda vezel but decided not to go with it after visiting some PI. More or less decided on kia k3 since everyone in the family likes the car. so k3 owners, any particular sales person to recommend? most likely going to deal with them before the next bidding... what do you guys think - should i get the standard (non-guaranteed) coe package? Lovethecars Clutched March 12, 2016 Share March 12, 2016 If not urgent then I think non-guaranteed is better value. that was my thoughts too. but worry coe will continue to increase and i might not be able to secure a coe.
thechoseone Clutched March 12, 2016 Share March 12, 2016 that was my thoughts too. but worry coe will continue to increase and i might not be able to secure a coe. I would suggest to sign the standard non-guaranteed package first. After few bidding if it still not successful, your SE will give you an option to top up for guaranteed COE. From there then you can decide whether you want to top up or not.
cccccccc 1st Gear March 12, 2016 Share March 12, 2016 that was my thoughts too. but worry coe will continue to increase and i might not be able to secure a coe. Buying a car involves making too many decisions. Initially I thought I had to choose between makes/models, but after decided to book a K3 I realized I had to choose between platinum vs standard . It depends on whether you need the new car urgently, your view on the COE trend, and whether you are comfortable with the additional price for guaranteed. If you choose to go with non-guaranteed, make sure to think through of what-if scenarios (what if the top up price is too high? what if you don't get COE after 6 bids). It will lessen your anxieties if you plan ahead.

My SE recommended normal service Thanks! Just curious if any bros signed up for the 2 years Kia service plan with Cycle and Carriage, which includes 4 servicing at 10,000km/6months interval? Which is 20% off original price. Am thinking whether to continue with C&C after my 10K servicing but also concern about the warranty.

Am thinking whether to continue with C&C after my 10K servicing but also concern about the warranty. In the past for my Hyundai Elantra and Subaru Impreza, I didn't use the servicing at the authorized dealers after the free ones were used up. For Hyundai, no issue, I went back to get some sensors changed under warranty they didn't kick up a fuss. For Subaru, no experience cos the car never gave me any issue. Subsequent wear and tear issues I have a reliable mechanic to deal with them. But having said that, I think with the new cars having more and more gadgets, might be better to use the authorized agent to service? Although my mechanic says he can fix anything the authorized agents can fix. Which I believe him lar... my Subaru under repair now. He came this morning with a computer and plugged and it told him that my all-wheel drive transmission sensor got problem. So he is fixing it now as I type. No problem. So it's your comfort level lor...
