I see. But any ideal why k3 have 2 obd port? And our k3 have 2 ECU. one for engine and one for gearbox.

Yes one for engine ECM (Engine Control Module)  and one for Gearbox TCM (Transaxle Control Module).

Hi Guys! Another KIA K3 owner checking in! Being a noob here, i hope to seek some advises from the brother here.

 

- I got a resale KIA K3 this month. I just realized that the previous owner did not went back to KIA for servicing (at 20K milestone). Does it make any sense for me to go back to KIA servicing now? If not, any recommend engine oil to use if I am to do the servicing outside?

 

- The radio reception is really bad. Any recommendation how to improve the reception?

Which year k3 is yours?

I guess it's pre-FL model?

 

You shld bring to cnc to update owner details.. also shun bian check the servicing records? They shld have I think.

 

Also check if cnc willing to still honor any warranty for ur car.

 

Due to 5 year warranty we generally continue to service at cnc for 5 years

Since Service is free, so do these two;

Tyre rotation $20 with balancing

Engine Flush $60.

 

Seem like the release latch for opening the fuel cap, some time don't open, ask them to check too.

 

According to the SE, 20K service, all is FREE also.

Is it tricky to remove it from back of the glove box ?

A scratch at the left hand rear wheel arc.

I drove off coz it take 1.5 day and they currently dont have a replacement car for me. Replacement car already some owner use which take 1 month to return.

Any stockist like Ming ghee. About $25-30. Easy to remove. I change mine every servicing, for fresher air.

Normal type original. Carbon types are after market which have higher flow rate thus reduces filtration.

Honestly, is there a need to flush the engine at 10,000km, when the engine is still relatively new.

 

Seems like selling snake oil.

Yes agree. Got to keep on flushing when engine is not so dirty. When very dirty, flush also no use. I even flushed aircon cooling coil and replace aircon filter every 10k.

 

Driving is not about saving money. So don't worry about $60.
