I thought RP is the special cultivar of Penang and it is rather rare. I doubt any real Penang RP reach Sg as the distance is too long by road. Could it be the southern states cultivate RP and are in production now?

Similarly MSM seems to be every where. How many of them are genuine? Even an unopen one is difficult to confirm the cultivar and grade. 

Many durians bear the semblance of the five pointed star at the khah chng and which durian does not have pyramid thorns? They are either broader or narrower based thorns, some sharper than the others. 

Until and unless one is opened and the flesh inspected, then more or less can confirm the "brand".

Well, I heard durians are plentiful and cheap now, so I decide to try something that's not too expensive.

Early this morning around 4am, I came by this stall at Yishun, picked up a MSW, I know it by the star at the base, but he charge me $20 per kg. That's too much for me.

So I pick up another one and he told me it's red prawn, $10 per kg. It's sweet and creamy, very nice.

Made a mistake and my wife verified what I'd told her... 

RP were from johore at $9/kg

MSW were from Pahang but not old tree at $12/kg

I know I know...either my geography or memory is fading...😂

Not regulated is liddat one...buy or sell ah lian must do it like cowboy wild wild west style...

I'm sorry to say, but the 4 boxes at the top seem to be D13, not even the real red prawn.

Other than my last stash and a few forumers picks, still have not seen RP in a significant number yet.
