isnt it obvious here that red light means u hav to stop???

no wonder now we got so many kuku drivers as compared to few years back...

most drivers would just turn left before the pedestrians starts walking which is illegal.

 

u are expected to stop.

wait for green light.

let the pedestrians walk first.

then turn left.

what happened to our "left turn on red" rule? seems to have disappeared from sg roads.

 

coz iirc, if you drive on the left, you can turn left on red.(in most other countries)

Usually if it happens to me, I will just slow down and let the car roll slowly a while then go once the red turn green and there are no pedestrians. 2 seconds very fast one, not worth 12 points.

I been driving for more than a decade. This question is always on my mind...

 

At junctions where there are left turn arrows, the left turn arrow will always coming up when the round lights are red. See below.

 

 

 

When the left turn arrow blinks and disappears, the round lights will carry on being red for 2 secs before turning green. Happens at all junctions.

 

Question is this. In that 2 secs, can I turn left?
