Bystander50 2,032 5th Gear March 8, 2014 If it loses contact with Subang, the plane should still be somewhere nearby or still under M'sian control. At least not somewhere far out in the South China Sea.

Bystander50 2,032 5th Gear March 8, 2014 Strange that MH370 is under Subang Traffic Control as this flight flies out from KLIA. Hope everyone is ok. The control center need not be based at KLIA, there are air traffic control facilities around KLIA, but that is for localised traffic approaching and departing the airport. The one at Subang is probably part of a wider radar network that monitors air traffic far out. Won't be surprised if this can cover up to SG.
