richard_crl032 6th Gear December 14, 2015 Share December 14, 2015 The solar film provided by TC is very bad, I am able to feel the heat of the sun, wonder if I am able to upgrade a higher grade with discount from TC. Intend to install roof rack for my 1.2T QQ, any recommendation? Current solar film is TC's in-house brand .... Max something. Not sure you expectation but I have Vcool in my other car and think except workmanship issue with bubbles or sometime pools, think is it ok. Roof rack .... intended to lift bicycles up everytime or go on road trip ? Else just cosmetic reason if you feel it is nice (I dun), many taobao purely cosmetic paste-on types or working screw on type with latest version being non-drill types ... richard_crl032 6th Gear December 14, 2015 Share December 14, 2015 like very scary.. last time bought a car had so many problems keep sending for servicing =/ so this time round want to make sure do all the research one the diff cars first lol Hi Jancie, No worry .... while fortunately my Qashqai does not have this water seepage issue .. at least not yet, my Estima had the same at least for certain batch few years back and even my brother's A4 also had to get the headlight changed under warranty for this same not uncommon issue: http://f1-0.com/index.php?topic=1120.0 Important it that TC is the AD and just get it replaced ..... good luck if PI and centralised workshop do so at SGD500 a pop. What other problem does you have which I am please to report that so far ok ?? If you refer to HU, leather seat, ratting at glove compartment, these are local fitter issues but please acknowledge this is not a Merc, BMW, Lexus or even Harrier hor .... but to me value for money for the look, ride, space and ease of maintenance. Cheers, Richard Richard; I thought he is driving QQ. Now I know that he is not... Wasted my time discussing about it... Agreed that don't waste petrol and time... Know that this is Qasqahi talk. zerobim08 4th Gear December 14, 2015 Share December 14, 2015 (edited) You discussed or bought ?? Speculation or fact ?? Zerobim08, why you say only qq needs grounding .... my estima is also grounded 8 yrs ago and also the odyssey before that. Think you are quite ignorant what more discerning car owners are doing with their ride .... perhaps pseudo but "only qq needs ground" needs to be corrected. richard_crl032 6th Gear December 14, 2015 Share December 14, 2015 Hi Guys , I am interested in QQ 1.2 . Do u guys feel that it is a reliable car ? Anyone driven the 1.2 QQ for a year ? Any issues Nismoo, believe 1.2L was only available since end Dec 2014 or Jan 2015 and dun think many if any readers here had driven it for 1 year. Yes, it has several reported minor issues due especially to local fitting of HU, leather seats, ratting noise etc. However, after 6 weeks of driving my CO's 1.2L over the weekends and many nights, I do not miss driving my own well kept Estima albeit 8 years old and 210k km done ... believes this should put some confidence against your doubt Other than being a new car being clean and pristine: - it looks great, - is a SUV/cross-over in vogue with good reason ... happy car that reminds you of vacation - overall feeling of space and more than ample headroom for my 1.78m height ... another aspect of SUV/cross-over - conti ride with active control drive for non of the typical roll of such higher riding SUV - advanced onboard computer for its price bracket, and most importantly affordability w.r.t. sgd500 road tax and 55 litre/700km in real life driving. Yes, there are some no brainer mods to get it better overall: - ethrottle for better pick up e.g. free power, racechip, pivot, bitz etc. from sgd250 to sgd380 - strut bar to tighten the handling cos steering can be overly assisted from sgd160 - mesh to protect the rather exposed raidators and turbo intercooler - alternative brake pad or spray your rim to alleviate excess brake dust as expected from more biting conti brakes from sgd100 to sgd150 Last but not list, TC while having their fair share of complaint from their service workshop, they are AD and you should have little concern on the reliability of the car for at least the 5 years of unlimited warranty included. Hope this helps ... cheers ! Rednq 1st Gear December 14, 2015 Share December 14, 2015 One of the reason I bought QQ, is due to the refine and quiet ride during my test drive. But when I got my ride ,I am a little disappointed by e road noise(tires) and it can be quite noisy and irritating. I am considering to either sound proof the wheel arc area ( if due to poor insulation) or change a set of quieter tires but not sure which is more effective. Anyone can advise on this? Tq! ↡ Advertisement
