Kklee 6th Gear October 27, 2014 Share October 27, 2014 Anyone tried? I topped up with the techron additive first time last week. I don't find any improvement to the fuel consumption. Instead, I observed a smoother pick up and quieter ride. Shall see if there is any different for the 2nd tank of fuel. Two of my colleagues have similar feedback. ↡ Advertisement

For cleaning and upper cylinder lube Smoother and quieter drive.

Baal Supersonic October 29, 2014 Share October 29, 2014 amsoil from mx. around 1:500. ie. 60ml per 30 liter using 2T oil as in those for motocycles? So only use fully synthetic?
Solar Turbocharged October 29, 2014 Share October 29, 2014 using 2T oil as in those for motocycles? So only use fully synthetic? Ya.. but only ashless 2T that's rated TCW3. It's already very cheap.. don't need go for cheaper mineral. I think there was a discussion thread in MCF some time ago.. those interested can go there, or check it out on BITOG. Caveat.. don't get greedy and pour too much. It's not meant to replace the fuel..

You're right pal about $75. I filled up 120 bucks some 2 weeks ago, and the cashier mentioned about the 3 bucks additional discount. That uncle at the pump didn't pre-empt me. It just wasn't meant to be mine then but it will be today cos I need to fill up.
Kangadrool Supersonic October 29, 2014 Share October 29, 2014 (edited) think got target to hit, e.g. $400 in a month or so. That's why I give up Caltex after sometime. Never get to have that "promised" discount level. Lala81 Hypersonic October 29, 2014 Share October 29, 2014 Everyday card + SPC rewards card for me currently. Though if need to find a station, Esso always easiest to find.

Haha for me it's the other way round.. When i need to pump petrol cos pushed it too far, all I see is Shell. Can't seem to find any Esso around. Initially wanna try SPC, but it's too far from my place. I'm smacked in the middle of Shell (2.5km), Esso (2.3km) and Caltex (3.1km).

Never get to have that "promised" discount level. Should use UOB visa or master for caltex, i think its 17-18% off, no tricks. Using uob one card can get more disc but need min spend every month also.

Doceriond Neutral Newbie October 17, 2015 Share October 17, 2015 ANZ Caltex Star Cash Card. The stored value card has an expiry date. After this, all remaining cash value is forfeited. This is not widely known or is it mentioned during time of purchase. It only appears on fine print on a small slip of paper which is attached to the card at the end of a transaction (see pic). This practice is very different from other stored value transactions from other companies, where the cash value of the card is still refundable after the administrative expiry date of the card (if an expiry date is even applied in the first place). Just felt I needed to inform other users about this little known practice. #anz #anzbank #caltex #caltexsingapore #starcash #anzcaltexstarcash ↡ Advertisement
