^is the design and compound. with proper QC, don't think make from TH is a problem. (china is a different story) want make from JP than prepared to pay alot more.

according to BS site. a few size will come from JP.

That's my question. Since they moved the manufacturing place to Thailand, will there be a reduction of price instead of increase?

Only time will tell...haha.

For my bread & butter ride, i turned to hankook, kumho and recently michelin bec the mpv has a very odd 16" specs.

All cheaper than GR90.

Agreed. Overpriced.

over price or not is subjective. if you dont value comfort, you will not buy such tyre. if you value comfort but feel is too expensive than it is either you have unrealistic expectation (want cheap and good) or stingy or you really cannot afford it.

I'm fine with the GR90. On my 2nd set.

Don't see a point of getting GR100 if GR90 is still around.

After evaluating the competing tyres which have not no objective/subjective reviews on the net. Decided to go back to tried and tested.

Not cheap but over 3 yrs and i like the wet grip i get with this tyre even when it's run to 55k km.

Looking at the thread patterns construction. It looks like a break thru design from all other tyres I have seen.Especially the part where nature vacuum are created to suck out the air to reduce noise. Pretty amazing stuff.

But it may works well when new, but after wearing down would the thread patterns still works? [confused]

http://www.bridgestonetyre.com.my/products/passenger-tyres/turanza/gr100

The GR-100 comes in 24 different sizes that range from 15 to 19 inches.
The tyre is imported from Thailand and Japan.
Recommended retail prices are from RM300 to RM1,000 per tyre.

WHY Malaysia website ? we are in Singapore. don't trade RM

should go see www.bridgestone.com.sg?

As you said, whether a product is overpriced or not, it is subjective. So no need to say people stingy or can't afford it.

There's a lot of comfort tyres out there, not just Bridgestone.

Why must one pay a premium for the branding?

My question is only if there is a reduction of price being passed down to customer since they moved the manufacturing place to Thailand for the same size? What's wrong with asking that? GR-90 was made in Japan.
