Student Accommodation in Britain

A recent report in the Straits Times said that many investors were now buying into student accommodation in the UK.

The entry prices looks very low, compared to property purchases.

Everything looks hunky-dory, even with rental guarantees and all that.

So, is it worth buying? Be very careful. What exactly are you buying? You have a title deed? Can it be resold easily? What is the exit strategy?

Neutral Newbie

Hi Guys

I am a newbie here, I joined to investigste vehicle imports into Singapore but I need to make ten posts before I can start the topic.

So anyway the good news is I live in the UK and am involved in property development and residential letings for nearly 20 years so if anyone wants any advice I would be happy to help.

Only invest in something you know, something you see.

This is rule 1.

Rule 2: Don't lose money, and sleep :D

Thanks for the tips. I will on account of rule 1 immediately stop investing in my wife. I only fear that I will lose sleep (and maybe money) as a result.

Rule 2 seems to be too fake. Even the best investors in the world made mistake.
