I was filtering left to Yishun Ave 2, and obviously at my speed, I had to overtake him.

Yeah, I make sure my left signal was on as I didn't want to play games with people.

 

I noticed he's not carrying any passenger from rear view mirror, as the green light was on.

 

And for no reason, I saw him speed up and his intention is obvious.

I kept my distance, while he do his trick.

 

Fortunately, I had it recorded down on my video and it's sent to SMRT and LTA.

I rarely take taxi, even so, I have numerous interesting conversation with taxi driver.

 

Normally, I like to chat with the driver, will ask them how's business, then purposely say their car feel very powerful. Interestingly, quite a number of them start to boost about the taxi power and start telling their glory road race story with other cars.

 

But in fact, Chrysler taxi is very powerful, with more then 500Nm torque, even supercars may momentarily loose to them at traffic light drag.

Cabby's a real prick! Was he carrying passengers? BTW, that stretch is very popular with TP. Saw them on both sides once.

No, he was not carrying passengers. The light on top was green from my rear view, when I passed him on the right.

 

He was not happy for whatever reason and he rev his engine very hard to overtake me.

 

I suspected he was going to cut in front me and jam brake, which he did.

I had by that time slowed down anticipating his actions.

 

Then you see his signals are going all over the place, perhaps trying to intimidate me and make me bang into him.

 

I have received email from LTA, they refer this case to TP.

 

So I await TP to investigate.

SMRT has no response as of now.

I never pang chance all taxi drivers.

see them drive thru double line, shoulder, chevron.....really makes my day happy!

Somehow some taxi drivers deserve our sympathy, if they did it unintentionally i would say forgive and let it go.

 

They work for so much long hours to support their family, thats why if i take taxi with less than $5 change i say keep it.

 

Of course not all taxi drivers deserve our sympathy, some really basterd
