True. there is one 2010 E250 with 63,900 km only, 1 Owner, Full Service Record At CarLab, mileage is similar or even less than those 80K+ 2016 Q50. difficult to weigh the two. Better buy in which aspect? Driving pleasure? Status? Costs of ownership? They may be at the same price but depreciation is quite different.

Understand that "better buy" is a function of all these factors and varies from person to person, just curious to know how people weighs the two under fix budget as my references. Ok, from a car lover point of view, the W212 is a great car, with excellent build quality and a real sense of solidity and understated luxury. It is also spacious and comfortable. It should also be relatively straightforward to maintain as the car ages. Do find one with the 7-Gtronic gearbox as the older 5-speeder is not as nice. Having said that, I would like to go for a younger car, though not the Q50. It does not appeal to me as it doesnt have a strong identity cos of its rebadged Nissan Skyline with a MB drivetrain. I also find the rear seats uncomfortable. It is strong value for money as a used car though. I would be thinking about a B8 2L Passat if it was me.

I think the GB was upgraded to 7-Gtronic in the last quarter of 2011 for local cars.
