Two secondary school students arrested for knife attack

SINGAPORE - Two secondary school students have been arrested for stabbing a youth with a knife on Saturday in Potong Pasir.

The two 16-year-old boys supposedly got into a dispute with the victim, a 17-year-old boy, at Block 142 Potong Pasir Avenue 1.

Lianhe Wanbao reported that one of the students shouted that he was going to get a knife and later reappeared with one. He apparently chased the victim, then stabbed him in the chest.

The Straits Times understands that a friend of the victim who was at the scene detained the suspects before the police arrived.

Teenagers more and more daring nowadays. Nothing new but what really caught my eye was that friend   Must be martial arts expert -_-

Ya... better not even glance at them. No point looking for trouble. Those people cannot think with their heads one.

More daring?

No lah. My time slashing and fights were so common.

Now it's so rare it even appears on the news.

I believe its true the frequency should be lower these days.

However, it is also true that during the 80s & 90s, internet was non-existent and subsequent only in its infancy stages.

150th would like the public to have the confidence that days of rioting had been fully addressed during the 60s-70s.

If the frequency of incidents were on par with the 80s-90s today, paired with the pervasive coverage by the internet, the public's sentiments could be very different.

they usually avoid taking on adults, nonetheless, ur right, better to avoid eye contact with them.

In Sg, not much future, to take that path, only boleh offers more opportunities.

16yo, think higher chance of boy's home (or was it appl for 15yo only). If the victim dies, then it could be detained wo parole somewhere, section 55? at the presidents/Minister of home affair's discretion. They could be let out when in their early 30s.

Except for the stabbed victim, yes it's a good conclusion. Two naughty fellows removed from the school system thus saving educators many headaches...!
