I will be travelling to Malaysia more often due to work

Are there any comprehensive insurance for singapore car, that provide better coverage?

I understand that our Singapore insurance do cover west malaysia, however, the coverage is not as good as singapore.

eg. in the event of accident/break down, any insurance that can cover all cost involved eg. towing, repair, tax involved...etc)

AAS also not that comprehensive. I thought AAS and AAM got an mutual arrangement to tow each country car until mid causeway. Thought just call AAS and they will get in touch with AAM but not so. Quite some time back, I got a good experience. My car breakdown, just after Johor immigration but still in Malaysian territory. I called AAS and they asked me to call AAM. WTF, AAM asked me to go back into Johor to apply at their office which was near the Shell petrol station, just after the immigration. Beside the inconvenience of having to walk back under the hot sun, they just want money. Crazy. If I remembered correctly, it's about RM300+. Luckily, with the help of the Malaysia highway toll police escort, I managed to drive n drift my car (normal & neutral gear) until Singapore territory at the causeway. At that time, when my vehicle broke down, my thought was how much also pay lah. Just quickly get over. From here, the AAS took over. Hope, this will never happen again.

Btw, Direct Asia got an option that one can buy additional add on for towing fee of $3500 n $200 person, if car breakdown in Malaysia. Nevertheless, it's very incovenience.

Just save the add-on premium which won't be cheap either. If you accumulate all the years' additional loadings, you can pay Ca$h for any towings you want. If no breakdowns, all savings in your pocket.

Unless you driving those very "suay" cars......
