First, a 6.0 quake hit California

 

Northern California earthquake is area's strongest in 25 years

 

(CNN) -- The strongest earthquake in 25 years in Northern California struck early Sunday, injuring dozens of people, damaging historic buildings in downtown Napa and turning fireplaces into rubble. The 6.0-magnitude quake struck just six miles southwest of Napa, California's famed wine country.

Shortly after, another 7.0 one hits Peru

 

 

7.0-magnitude quake strikes Peru, USGS says

 

(CNN) -- A 7.0-magnitude quake struck southern Peru on Sunday evening, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The quake struck 36 miles east-northeast of Tambo at a depth of 37 miles, according to the USGS.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

Hopefully this isn't the signal that the BIG one is coming.. or these 2 quakes willl help ease the stress that is building up for the BIG one.
