I borrowed my friend's Xiaomi box 2 to try.

The icntv app does not work. Neither does the PPTV app.

What's wrong?

Maybe that's why he lent it to you.

Good things people never like to

share one. Like a fren with a good

looking wife. What a fren.

:D

Saw this fairly often at trade fairs...very tempting...

How's the streaming on football channels? Smooth with little breakups?

I'll try n feedback. Not really into soccer so it's not the first app I'd setup. Hahahaha

They are different processors.

This MxQ box is just a generic box whereby any manufacturer can just anyhow throw in the relevant processor.

This one is RK3229, the above one is amlogic S805.

If everything works, then shouldn't have much issue to the average joe. But it's one of the reason for different pricings of such MxQ boxes.

S805 is more supported by Kodi. But it's not powerful enough to do pure software decoding say for Phoenix Sports stream for premier league.

I think the MXQ-Pro running S905 processor is the better one.. sadly it was not out yet when I bought my box..

should be faster.

S805 is quite old liao. But good enough for usual kodi hardware acceleration 1080p. Just that it can't handle pure software acceleration.

How to watch euro2016 on kodi?

I google and they recommend

1) Futbol - does not work

2) Football today - does not stream anything

3) Sports devil - does not stream anything, even when I selected past games

Did not sign up with Telcos for this Euro2016 cos most games at early morning which I will not watch. Will only watch games at 10pm which is the group stage.

I know tomorrow's morning opening match is free.

Supersonic

I got a cheap box similar in h/w spec to a Raspberry Pi 2.

The RP2 can stream 1080 video smoothly.

The other box cannot.

So I think, the f/w also plays a part in the whole setup.

most of these won't work.

I probably won't watch.

Can try UKTurk to see if got live games streams but i find them unreliable most of the time.

Don't know if phoenix sports will stream or not.

May not.

Sopcast is probably still more reliable than all these.

the cpu is the same?

Pi 2 is an cortex a7 quadcore. Yeah should be able to stream 1080 on kodi.

The other box is MBOX-S82 with S802 chip. It also claim h.265.

But no, it couldn't even stream 1080 smoothly.

Keep dropping frames.

So I keep it one side and now only use Pi2.

hmm ok

mine is a s805.

Thinking of getting a minix-x8h+ depending when the new football season starts. Cos phoenix sports streams need pure software decoding which the quadcore A5 in s805 is not able to handle.

my S6 phone and the mipad is able to handle it though.
