Very surprised that 30 year old (year 1992) Mazda MX-5 1.6M, with long-forgone scrap values are asking for close to $120,000.   Although they come with renewed COE, are they really worth the money???

They are even more expensive than some younger (early 2000s) Porsches.

All these direct owners trying their luck 😏
If people can pay $1.2m to buy a 5-room HDB flat in Tiong Bahru (PSF higher than neighbouring condo Emerald Park), I don't see why they cannot pay Porsche pricing for a Mazda.

Edit: [OOT] Honda S2000 have recently increased their asking price quite significantly too. The last I've seen 24k+ depreciation .. Holy!

It is not difficult to find a carrot in the market. It is about perspective, some see a 30 yr old Mazda as junk, while some see it as gold.

Notice all these 3 are direct owners who are trying their luck. Why? Bcos if they sell to used car dealer, they will buy over like a junk.
