It has no problem at all. People expects a robotised manual gearbox to drive smoother than a slushbox. It's very difficult to explain to the lay person.... :XD:

Ya. Can't be help. I also don't know have this type of GB last time. Only auto and manual.

Turbocharged

Spotted a test drive FOCUS 1.0 today.

Pick up is fast for the 123 bhp and 170Nm of Torque.

But the price is not favourable. Rather top up $4K to get the Jetta 1.4 Trendline and gain an extra 30Nm of Torque, a massive boot and more rear leg room , and higher OMV, so actual price difference is negligible.

I guess it depends also on whether you like the SYNC 3 system over Jetta's RNS, or whether you want Focus' bi-xenon headlamps and multicolor ambient lighting and exceptional handling... or you want Jetta's class, comfort, space and (sort of) branding

Vivocity roadshow today. Focus 1.0 ecoboost 98888. 6spd torq converter gb, car made in germany. Doors heavy to open n close but solid. Good headroom front n rear but legroom like mz3. Rear seat back abit upright like mz2. Interior build quality confirmed leaps n bound than jap cars, esp toyota n honda wc w lotsa hard / hollow plastics. Solid centre console w sliding armrest. Decent sound quality from stock speakers w 3 band eq n 5 preset eq. Full steering controls. Big footrest for driver. Only dont quite like very firm seats, minimum leg room, no mirroring for hp n gps. Not test drive yet.

Felt recent jap car prices expensive ehen compared to what I saw todat. If twas audi bmw merc is understandable but ford at this price. All I can say is walau, what u doin jap brands.. Even korean brand also feel more conti.

Then the test drive might well you sell you. Even without ST or RS badge, Focus is a great drive.

And still a world best seller.

really? hope to test drive it soon then..

saw the taiwan buycartv review - mentioned accel ok up to 80kph but beyond that no as good as 1.6na.

but the manual mode still w/o paddle shifter n just small +/- buttons on gear stick for left thumb, so must drive like "god-arm" one hand steer to ensure accurate depressing of shifter buttons.

btw, saw sgcm selling used Mar 13 focus ST2.0 at an "unbelievable" price of 105k; used to cost 180k in 2013 period. coe 90k over. i only didn't like the crampy interior, even for current range although legroom is minor improvement if any.

Just got my Focus 2016 1.0 about a week ago.
Got it at $98,888, get white, is $2000 cheaper.
So far so good.
Pretty solid ride, pretty good pick up.
Handling is smooth.
Doesn't feel like a 1000cc car.

Looks wise, also not too bad, like a baby aston.

Car computer system is pretty smart.
SYNC is extremely user friendly, zero confusion.

But one thing, FC is way below what they stated on paper.
I am actually averaging 8.5km/l only.

Sorry, not sure. All I know is torque converter is better than previous DCT on Ford.
