Hey guys, thanks for the replies. I always expect FC figures to be less than stated, but this is like half of whats expected. Also, some other guy in here earlier said he was getting 630km on full tank, i hardly go above 2000-2500 rpm so i cant imagine how id have to drive to get 630km.

How technical and disciplined do you have to be to achieve 630KM full tank?

Thats just crazy, please advice!!!

It has come to a point where I really just ignore the FC and enjoy the drive.

Yea exactly my point, i was told by Ford salesman that it will improve after 5000km, but im at 8000km now and its stil the same as day one. I have never gone above 10km/l, the best i got is 9.8km/l since nov last yr. Think thats a pretty drastic difference from the brochure which says 18km/l.

So i can safely assume everyone else here is facing the same thing more or less?

hi bro,

im closed to 9,000km now and im getting 12.1km/L.

on 17 inch forged taiwan rims. stock rims just too heavy.

and i dun watch my rpm, i go till 3k-4k when i have to and i always use S when im on highway because this can prevent unnecessary downshift and i can upshift to 6th gear faster because i can control it.

i changed outside. Wait till 10k then i go back regent.

like i said, i can get 550km with balance 80km (lights on) so total 630km. (70% hway / 30% city)

last week, i got 500km with balance 80km (lights on) so total 580km. (50% hway / 50% city)

using Ron95.

Hi bro, do you have a pic of your car?

Wah 12.1km/l is pretty sick

Ford Salesman advised me to not change to 17 inch rims eh.

Where you buy your rims?

That is quite good coz my Honda Fit is also around 12+ KM/L.  Now this is the only weakness for Ford for me.  If this can be improved, Ford Focus will be my choice for sure.  Now still considering and exploring other options.

Uses selectshift. So it is not the problematic 6 speed dry clutch.

that case it is consider as wet dual crutch?

does anyonw know if selectshift is dual crutch too?

Yes. Sadly consumer reports says reliability of that transmission is poor
