Photography was very good and innovative, the use of colours, lights, exposures, angles to enhance the story and scenes. 

Story and character development was good and a huge improvement over Season 1. Supposed to be a thriller but its actually a love story somewhere. 

Desmond Tan continues his role as Derek and does it well.

Jae Liew was outstanding in a challenging role and she carried it very well, making her character's thoughts and motives very clear, really owning the character she plays. Got screen presence and very engaging. 

Bring on Derek III.

Maybe this is the reason why there is Derek II? Hardly can see local english drama has sequel de.

yes, Derek II was a big improvement over Derek I.

story of Derek II had more depth.

Derek I is a regular melodrama, same old same old. After I watched Derek II, I watched Derek I for the origins story.

Derek II is really a gem, and the chemistry between Desmond Tan and Jae Liew is fantastic.

Tuesday Report: #myconnectionsg (星期二特写：情牵新马). 

I chanced upon this series on Youtube and have been watching for past few days. I enjoyed the episodes very much. Shows the closeness of the links between migrant Malaysians (and many eventual Singaporeans) & Singapore. To leave one's home and family to study and work in a foreign land is a very tough thing to do
