therock Supersonic June 4, 2016 Share June 4, 2016 It might have been answered before, but is the Kah's Jade from Japan or Thailand? Will they be brining in the hybrid too? Thanks

therock Supersonic June 4, 2016 Share June 4, 2016 Yeah, that might be an alternative to the Vezel for me.. Also found out it's Jap: http://www.carbuyer.com.sg/news/1026-honda-jade-rs-singapore-price
Docomospur 3rd Gear June 5, 2016 Share June 5, 2016 Can anyone confirm that there are no audio/phone controls on the steering wheel? If so, seems rather backward for a new model.

therock Supersonic June 15, 2016 Share June 15, 2016 Had some time over lunch so I went to the Kah showroom: The Jade is on display, and it looks more like a large hatchback or a small station wagon than a MPV, which is good. It isn't as low slung, so that's good. There is no real boot space if all the seats are deployed. Inside, you won't know it's a made in Japan car though... The plastics are quite hard, and Kah has removed quite a few features, with many blanks over where switches should be. Even the Vezel will have more features. Where you expect the speedo to be, is a massive expanse of blank faux wood panelling, with no ledge that's usable to keep stuff. Leg room for the driver and second row is exemplary but the space in the third row is non existent. Strictly for kids and enemies... It's not bad for a 130k Jap made car, with a nice turbo engine, hence YMMV..
JuzFXT 2nd Gear June 15, 2016 Share June 15, 2016 Kinda disappointed with the built quality as was thinking of this car or the civic for the 1.5t engine. Hope the civic will be a better built

Having driving it for 4months now, I can't find any bad points at all. No passenger need to bend over and crawl to the rear and yet had sufficient boot space like a sedan car. Am wondering why no more new generation for Edix.

The Jade was actually designed for the China market hence the oriental name. The Jade RS is fully built up in China and then export back to Japan. U see the underhood stickers of any PI JDM Jade RS... it said Honda China. Only the Jade Hybrid is made in Japan, but even then Honda Japan installed the Hybrid drivetrain and hybrid specific parts only. Most of the car is still made in Chin. Hope it helps. Spring Moderator June 15, 2016 Share June 15, 2016 Odyssey middle row except the basic model can also sit 2 only but I guess the difference is that u can sit 3 in the 3rd row reasonably comfortably for the Ody unlike this Jade where u can only sit 2 in the 3rd row and not really comfortable. Point I'm trying to make is that it seems the Ody with the 2 middle row seats is the most popular choice amongst Odys but for this Jade, it is criticized for having 2 middle seats.
Sinwrx 1st Gear June 15, 2016 Share June 15, 2016 Ody space is much bigger than Jade. And Jade price is a bit tad too high for my personal liking. But again it might falls for those with this budget range and looking for this specific kind of ride....

I guess for younger family man like myself it's good as I don't wanna be seen driving an Ody hehe. Petrol consumption of 18-19.5kml helps on my Jade hybrid as well :). Really excellent for an mpv ↡ Advertisement
