Some of you might be wondering why I use the wording "Unboxing" for my description in the makan thread, as I was truly amazed by the following unboxing event, which also claim a world record. And and, the boy is so cute... [flowerface]

Volvo Trucks achieves the record for largest object unboxed

Volvo Trucks North America has a big surprise to reveal, and it just broke the record for the Largest object unboxed.

For the launch of their new model, Volvo VNL, Volvo Trucks recruited the assistance of young fan Joel Jovine to assist with the unboxing, who also happens to have a passion for Volvo trucks.

For the title, the silver VNL model was packed away inside of a 80’ x 14’ x 18’ box, which was opened with the help of the excited 3-year-old in a residential neighbourhood.

In order to obtain the record, Volvo Trucks had to adhere to Guinness World Records guidelines which stated that the box had to completely encapsulate the Volvo VNL and then needed to be opened manually, using no tools, and that the truck had to be removed from the box without destroying the box during the process.

Adjudicator Michael Emperic was on site to verify the record, and make sure that the super-sized packaging was also made entirely of standard box materials – cardboard and cellophane.

Joel is a resident of Pennsylvania, and was shocked to see such a grand-scale toy truck box waiting for him to be opened.

To watch his dreams come true with this life-size reveal, check out the video below!

Aside to mod (@radx, @babyblade, @jman888, @kobayashigt), can you look into the feasibility of consolidating the various Guinness Record threads. Thanks. Some other threads that I have found includes:

This thread started in Jan 2015, of the 4 thread listed, except for one started in June 2015, where starting of thread was not that cramp down yet,

the other 3 started in 2011, 2008 and 2004.

So how do you want them to be box together? All go back to the earliest of 2004? Or backdate all into this thread?

Sometimes it make no sense to follow some rules, sld we follow blindly or think out side the box.? [laugh]

Can make $ingapore proud on international stage.

Not only record, but one that I am sure no other countries will ever break in a 100 years time.

Thousands of women have shed their inhibitions and their clothes on a secluded beach in Ireland for a world-record setting “skinny dip” to raise funds for a children’s cancer charity.

Lucia Sinigagliesi, the Guinness World Records official that adjudicated the naked swim on Saturday, said that 2,505 women spent at least five minutes in the sea to set a new world record.

The previous record was set in Western Australia in 2015 when 786 participants swam naked near Perth, although an event in Finland involving 789 people also claimed the record.

On Saturday, in 12C waters off Magheramore beach 50km south of Dublin, more than three times that number gathered to break the record.

The swim has been an annual event since it was started by Dee Featherstone in 2013, just weeks after her own mastectomy. The events have raised thousands of euro.

“Oh my god it was amazing. I have never been naked in front of anybody before, except my husband, and it was brilliant and bracing. It was great craic,” Deirdre Betson from Dunboyne said after leaving the water. “We are all different shapes and sizes and ages and it was just super.”

This year the money raised will go to Aoibheann’s Pink Tie, a charity set up in 2010 by Mick Rochford and Jimmy Norman, after Norman’s daughter Aoibheann died from cancer at the age of eight.

“Aoibheann went to school with my daughter. She would have been 17 this year. We did it in her memory,” said Betson.

The top speed of this tractor can even beat some of the bread and butter model, no joke! :yuush:

This 1,000 HP Tractor Went Over 100 MPH and Blitzed The Tractor World Speed Record

dsvgapv0sh0izcel48bi.jpg

What happens when you pair Williams Formula One team with British industrial equipment manufacturer JCB? You get one hell of a fast tractor that can absolutely destroy the previous British tractor speed record—and a soon-to-be released documentary about the whole process.

The numbers on this bad boy are pretty impressive. The 7.2-liter diesel engine generates 1000 horsepower and 1,843 pound-feet of torque, JCB’s press release announced. And with former motorcycle racer and TV presenter Guy Martin behind the wheel, the Fastrac 8000 hit a whopping 103.6 mph.

The Williams F1 team played a pretty essential role here in helping JCB lighten the tractor and improve its aerodynamics. Here are some more specs from a Farmers Weekly feature, to really give you an idea of what kind of changes you’d need to make to a giant piece of farm equipment to make it go that fast:

Keen-eyed readers will notice that the Agco unit used in production Fastracs has been ditched, although a standard off-the-shelf crankshaft has been used, along with a large common rail fuel system running upgraded injectors.

Tweaks to the block include improved valve seats, uprated conrods and auxiliary piston cooling, all designed to cope with the increased heat.

Out goes the Agco CVT and in its place is a ZF manual six-speeder usually found in a lorry, running a multiplate wet clutch system.

The record was set at Elvington Airfield, near York and was, apparently, pretty fun to drive. To quote Guy Martin: “She felt rock steady on the runway, job’s a peach.”

The whole scheme was dreamed up by JCB Chairman Lord Bramford, AKA Anthony Bamford, AKA Tony Bams, if we’re keeping it cool and casual and American, himself. The goal behind the Fastrac series itself is to create tractors that have higher road speeds but are still capable of performing their field work. It’s pretty much the natural progression of things to then want to see exactly how fast you can make the thing go.

One of the more interesting parts about this particular tractor speed record is that the tractor actually... still looks like a normal tractor. If you check out Matt LeBlanc’s previous record-holding tractor from Top Gear, you’ll notice that it’s moved pretty far beyond the realm of what we normally consider a tractor to look like. Basically, after its alterations, it looks like a machine designed solely to go fast without having any of its original capacity for work

JCB, though, kept their alterations pretty simple. Their high speed tractor looks pretty much like the normal industrial ones you see tooling about in the fields—which I think is pretty neat. It’s one thing to make something fast by taking away its original function. It’s entirely another to make something fast and practical.

Details about the build process and actual speed test itself aren’t widely available yet—but stay tuned. British television network Channel 4 has filmed a documentary about the whole shebang, which is intended to air later this year.

Another one... :a-confused:

Honda’s New Lawnmower IS QUICKER Than Your Car, Sets New World Record

7af912c2-honda-mean-mower-v2-record-6.jp

98d8decd-honda-mean-mower-v2-record-2.jp

The Honda Mean Mower became the world’s fastest lawn mower when it managed to hit a top speed of 116.87 mph (188.08 km/h) in 2014. Last month, the redesigned version managed to set a new Guinness World Record for the fastest accelerating grass-cutting tractor.

At the Dekra Lausitzring, near Dresden, the Mean Mower V2 accelerated from 0-100 mph (0-161 km/h) in 6.29 seconds. That number was measured on a VBOX, along with the top speed run of an incredible 150.99 mph (242.99 km/h). Responsible for putting the lawnmower through its paces was Jess Hawkins, an experienced kart and car racer and stunt driver.

“The original Mean Mower was an incredible machine; but this time we’ve taken it to a whole new level, with version two”, said the brand’s UK Managing Director, Dave Hodgetts. “After taking the top speed record in 2014, we wanted to do something a little different by setting an all-new record for acceleration, and the result is fantastic. Team Dynamics have gone above and beyond in developing and building this real feat of engineering, and hats off to Jess for being brave enough to get behind the wheel!”

Powering the Mean Mower V2 is the same 999cc, four-cylinder engine as the CBR1000RR Fireblade SP sportsbike. The unit produces 200 horsepower at 13,000 rpm, or almost double than the original lawnmower. Combined with a dry weight of just 152.3 lbs (69.1 kg), it results in a power-to-weight ratio better than the Bugatti Chiron.

In spite of its ability to hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in under three seconds, the Mean Mower V2 retains its grass-cutting capability. Thus, it gets two batteries that power the electric motors which, in turn, spin the carbon fiber blades.

Wah lau, get knock down by it sure die (and get cut into pieces at the same time) :omg:  :omg:
