Hi bros,

My civic has sound on the rear wheel when i am driving at higher speed like may be from 60 or 70km/h onwards.. it will go louder when i drive faster. Is it because i need to do wheel rotation n alignment? Anyone can help me with this? Many thanks in advance

I had the same problem too with my old ride and it got louder as i go faster.Bring it to my mechanics to check and discovered wheel bearing damaged and because of this it spoil the brake disc as well. In the end got to replace both.

Old car, new tire, need to do alignment, but what about new car, change new tire, need to do alignment?

or the general rule of thumb, change tire, must do alignment ?

thanks

I believe it depends on the suspension setup and not dependent on the type of brake configuration.

Multi link suspension I believe is adjustable.

FWD? Some FWD cars cannot do rear alignment as they uses torsion beam at the rear.

Regardless of old or new car. Change tire no need. Change suspension def need. I do alignment once or twice a year regardless of changing suspension as my alignments tends to go out quite easily. Maybe due to the coilovers.

see how your old set of tyres wear

if got 1 sided ( inside or outside wear alot ).

can do 1 alignment check to see any things out.

if nothing wrong 4 pcs old tyres all wear evenly

then dun backside itchy go ajust ,

wait extra problem come out

or after u replace new tyres.

if your steering is slanted to 1 side, then also confirm must do.

My Mini rear suspension is multi-link.  There is limited adjustment that can be done.

Not sure of the design of multilink for the mini. But mutltilink should have the luxury of space for the adjustment of links. Quite surprise that there is limited adjustment.
