I'm deeply touched by this selfless act of the FW.

Goes to show that we should always treat all humans regardless of their nationality, race or jobs with respect and compassion. To often we are quick to point the finger at FW being the cause of overcrowding, competing for our jobs, property prices going up etc.

Whilst we want the govt to don't look at us as economic digits, feel the same reciprocity is expected of us to similarly to not look at FW as a threat to us, viewed with suspicion etc. Abit of give and take both ways may make it pleasant for all of us instead of an us vs them mentality.

Admittedly it takes two hands to clap and it's not always easy but we have to bear in mind that there will always be black sheep amongst FW and us Singaporeans as well, cheers!!!

When the baby grow up, This song will mean alot to him/her.

And then a hero comes along
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you'll finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you

most FW are actually nice people, but the same can't be said for FT.

don't confuse FW with FT

My view is that all foreigners be they FT or FW be treated likewise just like us Singaporeans who are doing better paying jobs or lower one, same respect and compassion. Be they FT or FW, they are humans afterall.

As I've mentioned, there will be black sheep, perhaps more in FT but so be it. I don't paint the same brush across all of them and at worst I avoid them.

Kudos to this man who put the safety of someone else before himself.

So far, most of the FW I've came into contact with, quite nice people, just that most Singaporeans wouldn't say "Hi" to them. Sometimes when you smile at them, they give very happy from the heart kind of smiles.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) has identified the foreign workers who helped free a three-year-old girl whose head was trapped in between the rails of a clothes drying rack of a flat at Jurong East Street 32.

They will be presenting the good samaritans with the SCDF Public Spiritedness Award this afternoon to "acknowledge the quick thinking and civic-mindedness of the two members of public".

LTC Michael Chua, Deputy Commander 4th SCDF Division will be presenting the award today at 3pm at HQ 4th SCDF Division at Bukit Batok Road.

An SCDF spokesman said: "From the ground floor, they swiftly climbed up to the second floor and released the little girl's head prior to the arrival of the SCDF.

"SCDF firefighters brought the little girl down to safety using a ladder."
