There are a few A3s did stage 1 at ETuners, feedback is that the performance is only on par with Racechip plugin, not better. Best is to go stage 2 (1 A3 1.0 already did this). Warranty will definitely be voided for both engine and gearbox.

Would tuning A3 bring it to Cat B category?

Tuning usually is ok if within the same Cat, but for this it will reach the BHP limit for Cat A?

If yes, would you voluntarily top up your COE to LTA?

Most welcome. It will exceed Cat A's HP requirement but who will go declare to LTA? Lol

I think it is just one of the considerations of whether one wants to do the tuning. Some do not want to get in trouble.

Tune within same Cat is a lesser evil than jumping Cat.

For me, I would not do it if it means having to jump Cat. However, I did my vehicle (not an A3) because it was still within the same Cat.

Hi guys, I bought a new A3 1.4 Sedan back in 2013 and I have been very unhappy with PA due to the multiple issues faced with this car. I changed my dry clutch 3 times and had a gear box megatronics malfunction. Today, my clutch shows signs of failure as verified by PA and when switching gears it is no longer smooth (dashboard speed needle also moves when brought to a complete stop). PA refuses to change for me for free as it is beyond the warranty period. I am unhappy because at 90k mileage, if I do change with them, it will be my 4th time. The history of issues also dampened my confidence with this car. PA charges about SGD 3k + for a clutch replacement.

I would like to seek your advise for car workshops with expertise in clutch replacement for Audis and reasonably priced. Thanks.

Your first post? Trolling?

Isn’t A3 Sedan launched in 2014?

Typo, it's 2014, not 2013

My FIL faced the same issues (and also others) with his 2014 A3 Sedan. Finally traded it in for a Civic turbo.

You can try Motoren MTR, Avantage, Godspeed etc.
