@Logtas @Wt_know marketing dept too hardworking, but got limited demand. all buyers brought forward their purchase when it went on sale on 138k, then 135k, then 132k.. and SAs keep saying COE will go up with shrinking supply.

Long run i tin coe will go up. Govt cut the supply to razor blade. Looking at higher coe than 70k with the economy opening. At this moment even property selling like hotcakes.

Neutral Newbie

Been driving the sportback since july.

tail gate needs a bit of effort to close compared to previous car. Doors also abit heavy to close but have got used to it.

braking seems a little jerky at times at low speed.

But overall satisfied with it.

Red Sale over. A3 sedan still $129,999. Reminds me of Giant Supermarket tagline - Low prices that last 🙂

just like a neighbourhood shop that has the SALE sign all year round [laugh]

the moral of the story is no need KCS

the sale price is there willling buyer, willing seller

it’s all about profit margin and coe …

@Shouyi yeah i was chuckling when i saw that last night.. i guess price will hold till wed at least when new COE starts bidding..
@Wt_know if you take a look at LTA website, the A3 base cost is close to 110k, so its a good 20k margin still for the dealer/SA. not fantastic, but not shabby either (vs my BMW joyfest i've seen / was offered where margins go < 10k). Unfortunately decide i'm not that much of a car enthusiast to go for it.

I was quite surprised that the A3 Sportback is sold out while the sedan is still available. The sedan retails at $129,999 while the Sportback retails at $133,999. The sedan used to be more expensive than the Sportback, and I believe the general population still prefer sedan over hatch.

@Shouyi Probably might be due to the practicality of the sportback. Easier to load/unload bulky stuff for sportback due to to bigger boot opening and the rear seats have higher headroom compare to the sedan. I guess even the sedan have limited existing stock left. IMO its a great deal if the cars ticks all your box given the competitive pricing and specs.
