Manual transmission cars going to be discontinued?

Don't get me wrong. I am all for the new generation fast-shifting transmissions if they are a) in cars that prioritise performance (Porsche, BMW M cars) and b) quicker than a manual.

However, the driver buying those cars must at least know how to drive a manual, preferably with some real skill (heel-toe, etc.). In which case, buying a PDK or DCT becomes a conscious performance-oriented decision and not a cop-out because one can't drive.

Luckily, there is still got Gayman GT4 & ///M2.

I got my first car as a Fiat Grande Punto MT too. I believe that we should at least own a MT car in our lifetime.. Driving and enjoying it every moment.. [drivingcar] Though sometimes i free gear more than necessary. Hahaha..

Singapore got no market because not many people here can drive, and a lot will take Class 3A 'cos they can't pass Class 3.

Europe got big market because many people there can actually drive.

Cant pass Class 3? Then last time only have Class 3, how eh? Lol.

I'm a proud owner of manual rides only.

Wanna check, between kia rio and cerato, gen 2.

Looking at 1.6, Which is better?

Really? I only know it's spacious and heavy, underpowered. 60L tank.

Rio seems to be a better choice.

Anything else?

Mitsubishi lancer glx, is good and easily to find parts in malaysia but kinda ah beng for me.

Chiveorlet also not bad.

Assuming B&B and non-performance car, get Ford Focus 1.6M if you can get hold of one.

Sells very fast in 2nd hand market. Usually sold within less than a week.

Totally agree -  I dread the day I have to give up my manual car, will be hard to find a replacement.

I guess maybe 10 years down the road if you bring a manual car to workshop as them to change clutch many workshop probable got no experience.

Wow.. cool, that's interesting.

So far I yet to see one in sgcarmart.

I guess with my budget and preference, I don't have much choices.

Subaru - nice but drinker

Civic - nice but expensive

Vio, Toyota. . Same..

Chevrolet - optra, looks interesting.

Kia - rio and cerato.

Mitsubishi lancer, decent but ah beng to me.

Proton - gen 2 and persona.. am I fated to go for proton only..

Chery t11 1.6, look appealing but don't dare to try..

All based on 1.6m, hatch or sedan

Don't worry 10 yrs or even 20 yrs down the road the mechanics still know how to service your manual gb car as most of the mechanics here 're msians. There 're still plenty of manual gb cars in msia. They don't have coe thus some of the cars there 're over 20yrs.
