Also ask for a rebate or eye doctor fee on the hideous-looking 'free' bodykit

Really? Free bodykit and it's hideous? Any photos?

I second that... only the back still can see the rest of it forget it...

My bro bought the Tuscon 1.5 weeks ago, a few days before COE bidding.

Pricing was 120999, bargained to 113999. Happy shopping!

Your bro bought the 1.6T S version (6 air bags) or the non S (2 air bags)? Can PM me the SE. Thanks..

Hi Guys

Dilemma now over Tucson 1.6T vs Peugeot 3008 1.2T. Pricing about the same but Peugeot's interior is so much better although French cars are still questionable...

Hard to decide... Any advice?

Tucson without a doubt. The 1.6 DCT drives pretty sweet. Forget French cars.

Tucson 1.6t rear seat very comfortable & adjustable. 3008 seat is hard & cannot adjust.

7 speed Dual clutch vs 6 speed auto

Actually I prefer a 6 speed auto because dct may likely have to change clutch along the 10 yrs. likely not cheap

Am not a big fan of French cars, but for the 3008, will be very tempted to make an exception...

Yeah, the pug is very tempting especially when the pricing is so close to the Tucson. Dunno if their reliability had improved, and if 5 year warranty is good enough...

3008 for the looks and futuristic interior but Tucson for the performance and ride comfort. Both are good choice, tough decision!

Peugeot's reliability has improved significantly but it's still not at the same level as the Koreans or Japanese... they still have some way to go... generally it's the electronics that give problems... plus quality control for fittings... the engines and drive trains are usually ok.

Could you share your view on the Tucson vs harrier turbo as in price to value since both have different pricing and specs. Didn't want to post on the harrier thread since some are opinionated view over there. Thanks

Between the 2, I felt the Tucson drives better but the Harrier felt more upmarket (it shld be since it cost $30k more). My recommendation? Buy the Forestor XT.

I'm 95% city driving. Plenty of start stops and as such petrol consumption is my main concern on the forester, though I'm not writing it off now. Waiting for honda crv as comparison as well but read here its like going 150K which is into harrier's pricing.
