Depend whether you want smooth ride or bumpy ride. 16" inch have a smoother ride and my 19" ride is bumpy going over small hump/more noise than the stock rim. IMHO. 18" should be no problem. IMHO. 18" should be no problem. I am on 19 inch with falken tires for 4k km. So far so good except FC dropped from 14.5 to 12.8km/l and ride is a little harsh. Road noise is acceptable to me.
