No idea on that, no BMW friends.... But I know if I wanted to look rich and successful on a budget, I would get an Audi A4. Slightly bigger than an A3, yet not too expensive like A5 or A6.

Buy A4  must up size rims to 18".
Saw one dark red with grey rims, unique and sibeh swee

The stock 16 inch rims served its purpose for the VES. So I agree that should change rims immediately after purchase. I did for mine too.

Hi all,

Recently bought a preowned 2017 Audi A4 1.4t.

Pardon me as its my first Audi. I would like to ask some questions from you bros here!

1. My car is still left with 2 years warranty, do I still need to service at PA? If yes, what would be the rough cost for the 15k intervals?

2. any other things I should look out for or do?

Thank you all bros in advance!

What is wrong with 16" Rim? My previous E230 also 16" default. Very comfortable.

They are lovely, and when the time comes round to changing tires, your wallet will thank you 🙂

Audi is targeted at the budget premium segment. Mercs is the rich man segment. BMW for drivers.

a bit difficult to generalize like that

we all buy cars for different reasons

I6" on a A4 is an insult to the car and it's design.

i dont mind buying at 144k and choosing the after market rim that i like haha

compared to say spending 185k on c180 then changing rims

List price usually higher before service vouchers (4-6K) and overtrade (5-8k) for c180

so probably around 175-180k range

harder to sell A4 compared to C180 next time unless drive for 10 years

Harder to sell but the price diff is close to 30k. The harder to sell may not equate this big price diff. Most people also actually trade in their cars, so dealers will all give you not so attractive prices, whether it’s a Merc or not.

C180 being much more common could also mean you have many other similar cars selling too. So it may not be easier to sell. It is also still using an older Merc system and because the MBUX is significantly better, this is something to consider.

The A4 system, even though there is a newer one coming, isn’t “significantly” better so it is abit more price protected.

The 3-pointed star, especially entry level ones, will always be more attractive and aspirational to upgraders coming from jap or kimchi B&B cars than 4-rings.

But for me it's buy cheap, sell cheap
